How do I trace a text back to the number it came from?

Ok, so I have been receiving text messages from my boyfriend’s number, but its not him who is texting. These texts are really bad and have many derogatory words and slander in them. I know it isn’t him because we were sitting together and my phone went off saying I had a text from him when his phone was actually off. I texted back and a reply came back within minutes. I don’t know what to do. Before I realized it wasn’t him, we almost broke up and had a huge fight. Is there anyway I can get a trace on the number or find out the actual number it is coming from? My friends say that there are applications out there that can change your number to reflect it as someone else’s. Please help!!!!!

I don’t think there is much you can do to trace a spoofed SMS text message, you should contact your phone service provider and make a complaint.

Weird Problem with SIM Card?

I have aweird problem with my sim card now from over a month.My phone NOKIA 6300 displays ” travel & ticketing” bar with two sub-menus of Flight info & Flight booking.Whenever I am busy with any application this just keeps appearing.In case I click on any of the sub menus they try to send a message.
By the way the problem lies with the SIM & not the Phone, because I have tested it on a many number of phones & the phone on which this sim gets inserted shows the same message & my own phone when i insert any other Sim on it shows the normal behaviour.
And also I have not subscribed to any service in the recent past.
I have tried all places & settings on my phone to see any traces that i may delete to get rid of this behaviour, but till date I have failed.
Any help will be most appreciated.

Best to phone your mobile network and ask why it’s doing this. If there is a fault with the Sim Card, they may replace it with another one – with the same number.

Is their any SOFTWARE that will allow me to trace a cell phone number free or any internet application for free. Thanks

not that I know of ! EVERY site so for that I tried just got me pissed off , NOT free , it might seem that way at first , but you got to fill out your BIO and they don’t leave you alone (try netdetective.com its not free but it works
