Are throw away phones more secure for sending out personal info since the number can’t be traced back to me?

I think land lines are safer to use since information can’t be intercepted like cell phones can. I use my cell phone for banking,business and to buy things online like everyone else so I was wondering if not being able to trace a name to the phone number was any advantage.

There is a software app (I will not name it here) that I can download onto my phone and if I’m close enough to you when you place a cellular call I can receive (just like listening to a radio) whatever you send or say over your mobile phone. This app is not uncommon. Landlines are no safer.
