I made a prank call, can cops trace me?

I made a prank call to my girlfriends ex boyfriend and said that I would beat him up. He knows nothing about me and has never met me and we are hundred of km’s away and I blocked my number and I only called him once as a joke. Can cops trace my number? And also if they do, they have no proof that I called him or I actually said what he said I said over the phone right? I am also with telus.

The telephone company has records of all phone calls made. If the police choose to pursue this, they can get those records and trace it back to you.
